Julia Meighan
Executive Chairman
As part of her MBA programme, Julia conducted research into the interim management sector and found there was a significant gap in the market. As a direct consequence she launched Interim Performers in 1999, and it became a pioneer of best practice in the HR interim management sector. Interim Performers achieved significant success providing HR and change project interim managers, working with FTSE and Not for Profit organisations from offices in London and Manchester. It was acquired by VMA Group in 2008.
In 2001 Julia was appointed non-executive director of VMA Group (previously known as Vicky Mann Associates) and having identified significant market potential for corporate communications, became a shareholder in 2003. In 2008 Julia merged VMA with Interim Performers to create VMA Group, a global resourcing specialist for corporate communications, HR and change management working across permanent, interim management and executive search.
In order to drive its expansion plans, the Group restructured its board in 2011. Julia took up the newly created role of Executive Chair and spearheads the Group's international expansion, as well as initiating special projects in talent management within the corporate communications profession.
Julia is a great supporter of entrepreneurial spirit and feels her mission in life is to inspire others to be successful in achieving their goals and aspirations. Last year Julia appeared Channel 4's programme 'How The Other Half Live'. She has been a mentor and specialist adviser for the Prince's Trust for the last 15 years becoming a chair of the launcg panels for the Trust's enterprise programme.
